Best program for recording StarCraft?
« on: August 29, 2013, 02:11:34 AM »
I want to record FPVOD type videos of myself playing FMP. I've used hypercam and it works but the videos jitter when I play them.

What do you use, and how well does it work for StarCraft:Broodwar?

How do you stream in such high quality? And is your SC full screen when you stream or windowed?

I'm trying to find some software who is able to stream in full screen with adding the source game, but i guess none is able to fix the bug color palette or whatever it is, so i'm on w-mode. ( i tried Open Broadcaster software but doesn't work)

The quality of your stream depend mainly of your cpu speed and upload speed. Before xsplit didn't give any help to set your option, so it was an headache to configure it, now it does automatically. I didn't change anything in my option, my upload speed don't allow me to stream in a better quality than 480p.

The only things i made in the past was to reduce the fps but it was a long time ago, now i didn't try to change the setting i'm still at 20fps so ppl think i'm fast  8) .

To stream i still have this newb w-mode mouse precision, i just reduce my resolution to 1280x1024 with the doblesize of w-mode so my sc look like full screen.

Finally after trying almost all free broadcaster software, and seeing i couldn't do nothing with more features cause of my shitty internet i found this http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=265945&currentpage=10#190 ( go in the middle of the page ).

For the moment it's work fine i'm able to play fullscreen and 0 bug color. i have just to change the size of the screen things in folders, i will test it later or tommorow.

So yes you can stream in fullscreen with a decent resolution on free Xsplit :) :) .
