Season update
« on: March 20, 2017, 12:44:24 AM »
Sorry I haven't had much chance to get on the site in the last two weeks for complains, but I will be more active starting now. The antihack is finished but I want a few days of beta testing by a few users before releasing it to everyone. Some users have already begun using it for their UGL games, send me a PM if you are interested in helping. There are also a few minor issues to sort out, in particular, it causes false positives in some anti-viruses, even though it doesn't do anything that should raise alarm other than inject into StarCraft, in a manner similar to Chaos or mca64 launchers. From a user perspective, the only new functionality is the ability to automatically report wins without minimizing StarCraft, by using the /upload command after returning to a channel from a game. This includes team and observer detection for 1v1s and 2v2s, by analyzing APM and alliance data from the game.

Starting Friday, March 24, 11:59 PM, the antihack will become required for games played on the UGL 23 Anti-hack map. By then it will already have been released for download from everyone. Regular .rep files will continue to be able to be processed for games played on the non-antihack map.

There is also a generous prize pool contribution of $25 by Premier-. I'll be matching it, adding up to a total of $50 for the 1v1 winner of season 23.

Great to hear about the developments!
I will add 50$ USD to that come the end of the season.

That brings the total prize money to $100 for the winner of UGL23 1v1.

The antihack is now available to download:

http://www.unigl.net/download.php?id=antihack

You can also use the Downloads on the left-hand side or the Join League page.

Since it was posted so late, games played on the antihack map won't require the antihack until 11:59 PM tomorrow, 3/25.

If there's any bugs or issues, please post and I'll have them fixed ASAP.

Anti-virus note: as noted in the original post, this antihack becomes injected into StarCraft similar to loaders such as Chaos or mca64, and might trigger virus alerts. These are false positives. The antihack doesn't modify or read any files on the system except LastReplay.rep, and once closed, doesn't run at all.
